Reiki is a gentle treatment that helps activate your parasympathetic nervous system and allows you to drop into a theta brain-wave state. This is considered the “rest and repair” state — the time when your body is able to work on healing. This deep relaxation not only feels wonderful, but can also support those with chronic physical and mental health conditions, such as anxiety or depression.
A typical Reiki Session Includes:
- The first 5-10 minutes of the session will be used to discuss your goals and intentions for the Reiki session.
- You will relax on a Reiki table for 30-45 minutes. During this time I will either lightly place my hands on your body or in your energy field (aura) to help guide Reiki energy to your energy system.
- During this time you may experience deep relaxation, warming or cooling sensations, see colors behind the eyes, or experience other calming sensations.
- The last 5-10 minutes will be used to reflect on your experiences, and discuss any suggestions I may have.
